Meet Toia Young, BES Supervisor at The Dubois Center.
How long have you worked at The Dubois Center?
I’ve been working here at the Dubois Center since November 7th 2011.
Describe your role.
I am one of the Building Environmental Services at Recycling supervisors here at The Dubois Center, where I ensure that the facility is clean, well maintained, and ready for daily activities.
What’s your career background?
My career background is housekeeping, where I have gained extensive experience in cleaning and learning to do event setups and breakdowns.
What’s the most rewarding part of your job?
The most rewarding part of my job is knowing that my work helps keep the building clean, safe and comfortable for everyone.
Tell us your favorite memory from working at The Dubois Center.
One of my favorite memories here at The Dubois Center is getting together with other departments to watch holiday movies. It brings everyone together and creates a fun family-like atmosphere.
What couldn’t you do without on the job?
Working on Saturdays.
Tell us something surprising that people might not know about you.
When I retire, I would like to buy an RV and travel around the country to visit new cities and states.
What do you do for fun outside of work?
In my free time, I enjoy dancing, music and being around my family and friends.
What/who inspires you?
I am inspired by the people who demonstrate hard work and dedication. It motivates me to give my best everyday.
