Describe your role at The Dubois Center.

Lead Maintenance Technician.

What’s your career background?

I have over 20 years of experience in maintenance, specializing in HVAC. I joined UNC Charlotte in August 2014 as a journey HVAC technician and worked my way up to lead technician. Since May 2017, I have been at The Dubois Center, continuing to apply my expertise in HVAC and maintenance leadership.

What’s the most rewarding part of your job?

The most rewarding part of my job is seeing different teams—FM, BES, building staff, and catering—work together seamlessly. Whether it’s handling events or resolving unexpected issues, our collaboration ensures the building runs smoothly without interruptions.

Tell us your favorite memory from working at The Dubois Center.

My favorite memory at The Dubois Center was attending a Charlotte Knights game with my colleagues for employee appreciation. It was a great evening of fellowship, enjoying time with family and coworkers while watching baseball.

What couldn’t you do without on the job?

I couldn’t do my job without the strong culture at The Dubois Center. It’s like a close-knit family where we all work together to achieve common goals while supporting one another.

Tell us something surprising that people might not know about you.

Believe it or not, I enjoy playing Dungeons & Dragons. I recently found a local spot where I can meet others and join in on games.

What do you do for fun outside of work?

I love to cruise and travel.

What/who inspires you?

My greatest inspirations come from the Lord and my family, who motivate me to do my best every day.
